Tour Details

Sitting at the pinnacle of nature’s bounty, the Northeastern region of India is the most unexplored territory on this planet. Offering a diverse variety of landscapes and forests, the place is a haven to many gorgeous species rarely seen in other parts of the world. Less human intervention is one major reason why the area has become a hotspot for wilderness exploration. It is in this region people got the opportunity to explore Bugun Liocichla, the newest winged species of 21st century that added another feather to India’s list of birdlife. While the thick foliage of broadleaf forests and large canopies of coniferous trees provide a conducive atmosphere for critically endangered White-winged duck, Ward’s trogon, Ibisbill, Beautiful Nuthatch, Red-headed trogon, red-faced Liocichla, Slender-billed Scimitar babbler, Blyth’s tragopan, and Temminck’s tragopan, the vast grasslands of Kaziranga Wildlife Sanctuary and Manas National Park are ruled by One-horned Rhinos, Bengal Tigers, Asian Elephants, Black Panther, and Clouded Leopards. It is also incredible to see how the cluster of ‘seven sisters’ lying in the northeast province of India has become the prime location to sight the various members of the Hornbill family. While the hornbills are becoming vulnerable day by day across the world, the northeastern states are home to Great Hornbill, Rufous-throated Hornbill, Wreathed Hornbill, Austen’s Brown Hornbill, and Narcondam Hornbill. Looking at the unique wildlife thriving in the region we have crafted an eventful birding tour, trailing through the nature-centric locations of North East India.
